No Fear

I love this verse, Philipians 1:28-29

28 and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. 29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.

I love the thought of Satan being reminded of his eternal fate, but my lack of fear and total trust in the Savior. Elizabeth's MRI is Saturday, so won't you remind the enemy WITH me and trust the outcome of Elizabeth's healing, completely with the Father. I totally look for God to not only give us an anwer, but to give the doctors wisdom and for us to see Elizabeth's eye straight and perfect.

Prayer for Tebow

In a world that lies in wait for the next Christian Public figure to "blow it", we should be in prayer for the new, and latest one waiting for the "slaughter". Tim Tebow is leaving the comfort of the Bible belt and headed into the lions den. With, I am sure, every intention of living for our Lord and Savior. But don't you know the enemy would love to see him fall into sin and end up on the waste pile of many other "Christians" who have failed in the sight of men. These men who don't realize we serve a God who is not shocked by our sin, and does not rely on our righteousness to have a place in his Family. Men who don't understand that we are right before our God because of the work of the Cross and not our works. What work could we do to trump the Cross?
But still, Tebow has a heavy weight of the world on him. The world that wants to see him fail so they can proudly say "see, he's no different from the rest of us, where is his God now?" So lift him up in prayer. May he be a light in a dark world and for that world to say "What does he have, and how can I get it?"

Amazing article-not from a Christian view, but from a world view. Read it, then start praying. May God be glorified in this young man's life.

Latest Joshua Update

Just Another Manic Monday...
Posted 17 hours ago
Joshi is doing so well! He's playing like a normal 3 1/2 year old. I guess it wouldn't be to far off the beaten path for me to say that Joshua is still on cloud nine from his Disney World trip. I still haven't recovered from all the hospital stays before then, nor then the trip itself, but not forgetting the settling back in after all the mayhem we contracted upper respiratory problems. Please pray that I can gain the strength to combat this infection and to get ready for this next step in Joshua's treatment.

Tuesday Joshua had his blood tests (Joshua's tumor marker or AFP was 712--just a little higher than last time), Echocardiogram, EKG, & Wednesday was his CT Scans--by the way, this never happens this fast. Joshua's test proved that he was eligable for the Phase 2 treatment that we'd been talking at length with Dr. Gratias of T.C. Thompson Cancer Center and Dr. Geller of Cincinnati Children's Oncology Clinic. God just lined everything up for us!

Please pray hard for us this coming week because starting Monday, 1/18/2010, of Joshua's Phase 2 IMC-A12 cancer treatment. As for Tuesday, 1/19/2010, and Thursday, 1/21/2010, they are check ups and blood draws to determine his toxins and the effectiveness of the drug administered that Monday.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we appreciate the overwhelming responsiveness to God's call in your lives to help contribute in any form or fashion to Joshua's fight against cancer. Don't forget that we love you but God loves you most!

Christ...The Cure All,
Nadene

Our Church

There were a ton of people at our church and EVERYONE was welcome. We had some great food to follow our first service and it was cold OUTSIDE! But even with long lines, it was a WONDERFUL time of fellowship. The kids had a great time and it was just an perfect afternoon for the Family of Christ.

Old Friend, New Year

It was so good and perfect to end my 2009 by seeing a very long time and dear friend, along with many of his family members and especially his beautiful wife! Joshua and I were very, very good friends in Bible College and I cherish the friendship we built then and have held on to since then. It had been 10 years since I saw him last! What a great reunion and a perfect New Year's Eve for this old gal!
Happy 2010, what will God use you for this year!?
