Free taste so much better...Oh Taste and See....

So after an amazing work out today, the best idea I could come up with was to go and get some McDonalds....good idea huh? I didn't really have the money to get fast food, knew I needed to go on home and find something to cook, but it's $1.99 happy meal Tuesday, can you beat that? Anyway, as I got up to pay, the workers were very flustered by someone pulling out of line after they ordered and messing up the whole system. So I was given my food and told it was on the house! FREE FOOD IS SO MUCH BETTER!
I am driving along thinking "Man, these are the best fries ever." Then thinking to myself "Are they really that good, or is it that they are free?"..then just like God, in the middle of my very unhealthy, yet free lunch, He spoke to me. "Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good..." His love is Free. His Mercy is Free. His Forgiveness is Free. Like to many, I came to him, ready to pay, ready to give some sort of payment for the cost of my life. But I was given my eternal life and told "It's on me." It's Free!
And oh how much sweeter is the Lord when we truly grasp the gift of God? That we say "Taste and see that the Lord is good"... Free is so much better.

Fearlessly Feminine- Four Oaks Woman's Retreat, Destin, FL

"Femininity is the essence of being able to receive and affirm and nurture all those whom God brings to us with the beauty and power of Christ. Cheerfully welcoming God's singular call to us as women by demonstrating grace, strength, love, compassion, affirmation, receptivity and servanthood in all the ways that are distinctively feminine" Jani Ortland

Joshua update from his Aunt

Our figher
Posted 21 hours ago
Hello to all of our faithful friends and family, this is Aunt Amy, and first of all I would like to say "Thank You God" for one more day, we are so undeserving of your Mercy. For the most part Joshua is doing pretty well. He is playing outside on the playground, he loves to get in his stroller and drive, he's playing Dr, and I must say he is a good one, and our little Joshua definately has an appetite. His pain is under much better control than it was, which makes life easier for our little fighter, but he does still have pain. I can not tell people how much it warms my heart to see Joshua get to have a quality of life I thought he would never get. To see him play, and laugh, what a privelage and a blessing. Our heavenly Father knows just what we need, and exactly when we need it. He has definatley lifted up us in this very hard valley we are in. But the Lord is faithful who shall stablish us from evil, and his Grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made in perfect weakness. I want to Thank everyone for being so faithful in their praying for Joshua. We could never show our gratitude. Please continue to pray for Joshua, Nadene, and Tim, for God knows every burden and need. All we have to do is ask. Once again, Thank you all for the support and prayers.
Love,
Aunt Amy

Don't Wait

Every day we wake up is a gift from God. The people we love, this life that we've been given. What will you do for Christ? What will matter for eternity. Who do you need to call, to love, to forgive? Who do you need to thank for being so important to you? Who do you need to love MORE? Who has God laid on your heart, or promped you to share Christ with? Don't wait.

Saturday a friend lost her husband. She found him on the couch, slipped into eternity with Jesus. She is young and expecting their first child in 8 weeks. Life is not doom and gloom, but we do need to realize we never know what tomorrow brings. So glad to know that Joe is with Jesus, and praying that his sweet wife will learn a closer walk with the Savior as heaven is now sweeter for her.
Just don't wait.

On this day...

Today we celebrated Emily's 2nd birthday and it was just too much fun. We went to the Painted Pony and everyone seemed very happy.
Then we went to my neice' birthday party and celebrated her4th birthday! It is also another neice' birthday and she is 9 today! And on this day, 9 years ago, Brian come by my martial arts class and asked me for my phone number. He also told me he would not be in class because his big sister had just had her first daughter. I told him "no, but I would be glad to take his number."...her we are 9 years later. Almost 8 years of marriage....

I still love blogging

Every time I think about posting something, I don't want to push post about Joshua down. There just doesn't seem to be anything I can say that is more important than him right now. I love this little guy. But I do have a wonderful family that is worth writing about. I have a wonderful day with them and my friends yesterday and wanted to share some favorite pictures. If you get a chance, go catch up with my Project over at http://www.project365onthego.blogspot.com/ when you can....

I still love blogging, just a little quiet these days....

Joshua

Joshua's Monday Update
Posted 12 hours ago
Joshua's had more pain today. Please pray that the Lord ease Joshi's pain through His healing hand or escort him home to Heaven. If Joshua continues to stay in pain, we will have to go to TC Thompson Children's Hospital for pain management. Please continue to pray with us! Don't forget that we love you but God loves you more!

What Joshua Said

Easter Weekend- a weekend when people who don't usually go to church, will take the time to go and celebrate a risen Savior. Whether they truly know that Savior or not, if it's for duty, family tradition or a genuine love the Jesus; the pews, folded chairs, rented movie theatre seating- will all be filled this weekend. Hopefully the pastor or teacher called to his position will preach the full truth of the Gospel and tell this world they Have a God who loves them, who hates sin and sent his only son to erase that sin. How he made a way to fill the gap that separates this dying world to a perfect Father. I Hope.

But this weekend there is a mom who prays to spend one last Easter with her son. And this is what Joshua said- "I wanna come...I wanna go now..." I (His mom) asked him, "Where do you wanna go?" He said, "I was......n't talkin' to you I was talkin' to Jesus."

Celebrate Life this weekend. Celebrate the Life you Have or Can Have by your Faith in the only begotten Son of God.
