Urgent prayer for Joshua

This is an update and prayer from Nadene, Joshua's Mommy:
Yesterday without my Tim was very trying at times. He and Joshua are buddies and Joshua was upset that his daddy is sick and was not there with him. Joshua acted out several times throughout the day, not only for the fact of Tim's dissapearence but that he was not feeling well at his tummy. He's vomitted, had diarrhea, and fever off and on since our stay here but none like in the last 48 hours. It's been awful and we really need your prayers because our only option, TPN, can be even more of a set back for us by damaging what little liver Joshua has left. Today if you could go before the Father with me in a word of prayer for Joshua and Tim's wellbeing to turn around for the better.
Dear Jehovah Rapha!
Thank you for your many blessings on me, LORD! You've spared me so many times and I pray that you preserve my offspring, Joshua. Lord, I know you wouldn't have opened my womb with this miracle child just to take him back in a breath. God, please have mercy on his little body. He's hurting so with his tummy and with the rest of his little body. Please put your hand on him continually throughout his treatments. Please shore us up for what is to come. God help me to keep you in the forefront of my mind at all times. Joshua has done so well and came so far...please, LORD, help us get there at the finish line with remission of his cancer. God, we've fought long and hard to protect him for this ugly beast to come, rear it's ugly head, and try to snuff out the little life of my precious baby boy, Joshua Lee Freeman. Lord, you know that I know how BIG and mighty you can be. I've seen your power work in and through me many a time. God, please put your hand on Joshua and don't let go through all of these ruff and bumpy rides that are to come with battling his cancer. Lord, I believe we've overcome the worst and now I'm just waiting for your best of this bad situation. Lord, you are the only one who can turn this situation around. I love you you and praise you for all you've done are going to do!
Love always,Your daughter-Nadene
Okay, Saints, you know my heart. Please help me continue to pray. I will not rest until all my heavenly resources are exhausted! I will continue to SEEK, KNOCK...until the LORD OPENS! Thank you and God love you!

I loved today's sermon

At church today, I loved, loved every part of it. I know that church is not "about me". But you know how sometimes you just hear God and worship is amazing and fellowship is sweet? It was all that today.
I am going to try and share the meat of our sermon, my apologies if I butcher it, if I don't make sense, just shake you head and pretend to agree with me!
Pastor spoke from the Gospels on the story of Christ in the boat and the disciples dismay at him sleeping through the storm. He reminded us of Christ being human, and needing to rest. And the powerful God in heaven who was not asleep and had everything under control. He spoke of the word Fear not being used until Christ actually calmed the storm and then they marveled (or feared) what Christ had just done. They went from a fleshly, "it's all about me" fear, to a "Wow, my God is big" fear. It was a perfect love that casted out all inferior fear to usher in the Fear of the Lord that is perfect. It is us no longer saying "God, you don't care about my job, God you don't care if my son has cancer, God, you don't care if my marriage is falling apart", to "God, you are bigger than this storm".
If you are in a storm, God is not sleeping. don't fear the waves, fear the God of the waves. And as Pastor said, if you are looking at God from "it's about me" eyes, then this won't make any sense. This life just isn't about us, is it? Fear of God is not the same as Fleshly Fear, it is a perfect Fear...created in Perfect Love.

Update from Nadene on Joshua...pray for little guy

Joshua Is Still The Same
Posted 11 hours ago
Still not a word from Cincinnati Children's Hospital. We are still in the TC Thompson Children's Hospital but we are now in room 314. PTL! This room is a bigger room than what we had. However, it's not on the side of the hospital Joshua likes. That side of the hospital is where Joshi can see people on the streets and the helicopter going in and out, he noticed too and it made him a little sad. Believe me, we tried to get him over there but a lot of hospital politics kept us from it. It was my hopes that Joshua would get down in the floor and play in this larger room but he hasn't been out of the bed since Monday and his tummy is starting to get distended. Please pray that Joshua will feel well enough to get down from the bed and play today. We are still battling Joshua's diarrhea and fever. His diarrhea is better today after stopping his feeds last night. Please pray Joshua's feeds will get him back on track but mainly that his ANC, the immune system's white blood cells that fight infection, will start coming up and soon. His little body is taking these licks not only from chemo but all this sickness in his gut and it is so hard to see him not even wanting to eat or getting out of bed. Thanks to those who pray for us! We love and appreciate you!

continue to pray for Joshua

Please continue to join with us in prayer for Joshua's cancer to continue to disappear in his lungs so that we may embark on a voyage to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. It is going to be tough there to so we will need all the prayer and even prayer chains to join in prayer with us please...this is a mother's plea. My heart just breaks as I see his little body go though such turmoil. If anyone knows me, they know that I'm tender hearted toward children. I can't take it but God has been there to help yoke this journey with me. God has been so good to us and He's the one I turn to throughout these daily and nightly struggles. I've not been an angel by any stretch of the imagination but I've controlled what seems like a situation that continues to careen out of control. I know He's a true friend in whom I can always depend! I know that where 2 or 3 are joined together that God is there in the midst. I pray that if you have a group of Christian's gathered in the name of God, please remember our little Joshua in a word of prayer. Please pray that if it may be God's will, that He will heal Joshua's body of this cancer and that Joshua will be used of the Lord as has been already. Thank you and we love you but don't forget that God loves you more!

Family and Friends

The weather was perfect and E never wanted to come inside.
She had to be her sisters only source of entertainment....
My dear friend Aliya came and spent some time with us. It was so good to see her again. It was her first time meeting A.

This is my kind of sound..the wind was really blowing up at the cabin. It was such a soothing, relaxing sound. Of course you hear the wind in the speaker, but up there, you just hear the trees moving and it's wonderful. Don't forget to go and pause the music before you listen to the video. Hope you enjoy.

So this is what happens when you tell a 2 year old, "Sure, take as much as you want." Are you kidding me? We would still be standing there taking candy if E had anything to do with it. This was a lot of fun. We went to the Vending Show in Atlanta and E just had a blast. Candy, candy, Candy!

great update from Nadene

Great News, Everybody! We are done with cycle 5 and Joshi was well enough to get out of the hospital today. My brother, Ray, & sister-in-law, Kim, are brave enough to keep Joshi overnight--so we can have a date night & watch the Riverbend fireworks. They have given us a much needed break from the rigors & stress of Joshi's care--why with all his meds & 24 hour feeds--it gets very stressful. We are also going to be able to attend church together for the first time in what it seems like ages. Tomorrow our church, Zion Hill Baptist Church, is having a special Sunday to honor our Joshua. Here's a pic of Joshi's shirt on some of the Childrens Church puppets honors of Cody. Thank you all for your continued support for us during this very hard time. We love you & wanna encourage your continued support no matter the manner or fashion but the main support we covet so is your prayers. ~Nadene~ {JLF~Matt. 18:5}

Update from Nadene- Joshua's Mom

I copied and pasted this text from Nadene...please continue to pray...

Sorry I didn't get a txt msg to you yesterday about Joshi's current status. PTL He does not have tyflitis, a horribly painful inflamation of the gut. He does however have ileus, which means part of his gut is paralized. They are hoping that will go away as he becomes more active and his gut heals. As of yesterday,Joshi is back on antibiotics. They didn't want to take any chances so they thought it was necessary because he's been running a low grade fever for a couple days. His CBC, complete blood count, counts are great accept his ANC, absolute neutrophil count-the white blood cells that make up our immune system, they are still low so we continue to give him the painful Neupogen shots every night. His CTscan showed shrinkage in the tumors. PTL Thank y'all for your continued prayer support. I included a pic of him after he received a cap & beads from the group of US Navy soldiers paid all the kids a visit & came by Joshi's room to wish him well. ~Nadene~ {JLF~Matt. 18:5}

Bubbles and Pools

I love the summer time, hot evenings, jump in the water...bubbles and friends.
Anna was lovin' the bubbles. She enjoyed watching Elizabeth and her friends playing in the water, but the bubbles really made her smile.
Posted by PicasaWe had a great time with our friends today. Anna had her first time in a pool and really loved it. She fell asleep in her floaty. Elizabeth enjoyed floating around with her ring and acting like a frog. She likes to say "Guppy, Guppy, Guppy" while she is swimming.

Urgent prayer need for little Joshua

Joshua is so sick today. Here is an update from his mother. Please, please be his "dirty knees" today...
Praise:Joshua's croup is better but not gone.
Prayer:Please pray for Joshua because as much as he wants to eat, his little body cannot handle it. Yesterday about 6 PM they started Joshua's feeds back at just 20 ml an hour and his body dumped out 500 grams within 2 hours from that point. The doctors decided it was too soon. They've just changed Joshi's meds for the C. Diff. yesterday. I just think it was all too soon. I just didn't want Joshua to get the Slick Gut Syndrome again. I also mentioned that since Joshi doesn't have any good bacteria in his digestive tract, maybe they can give him something to help rebuild it. I had to do a lot of sturn convincing last night and I hate to be the parent that has to make things happen but I'm fighting for my 1 and ONLY child. I could only imagine how Father, God felt about His Son, Jesus Christ. If I see that Joshua's in danger or in pain...I'm going to jump at the opportunity to make it easier or better if at all possible. These past several months have been the hardest of my whole life! I pray everyday that the LORD will heal Joshua completely...I just have to trust Him. Please pray for him as the doctors speculate whether or not to start back up his feeds today.
Platelets are low again and Joshua needs another transfusion today. Please pray for him. I want to thank all the people who gave and are planning to give blood at Blood Assurance for Joshi's behalf. May I remind you, for every donation Blood Assurance donates $10.00 to Joshua. This helps pay the bills! Thank you all!
I want to emplore you to continue to lift us up before our Heavenly Father each and everyday. Joshua's well being is hanging on a thread in the balance right now and he really needs your petitions to go before our Savior for his health. Thank you all if you are praying and continue to pray for us! We love you all and God bless!

My inspirations

I have been inspired by a lot of amazing moms in the past few months. The one who started it all for me has just posted a great encouragement on her blog. I hope you will visit-
http://sgirl79.blogspot.com/2009/06/he-always-gives-you-himself.html

Continue to pray for Joshua. He has been very sick with the croup this week and his mouth soars are really bad right now. AS you know, this is a side affect of the chemo. Just remember he is only 3 and his little body is taking on adult sized chemo treatments...so he is weary and very scared. Just remember him and his mother. She is tired of seeing him suffer, but hopeful in her Savior that he will pull through this and all of them will have a faith that moves mountains.

Past few days...

We celebrated a 3rd birthday with a friend on Saturday. Good bye to May...does not even feel like that month even happened. Where is the time going? I really don't understand why it moves so fast when you become a parent. Is it the business?
Don't you love group photos with little children? The lack of focus is monumental and quite entertaining! Happy Birthday Kara!
Anna has started doing this shy smile that makes you want to eat her up. You give her a balloon and she will be happy for as long as it stays in her hands. Though it makes me nervouse when she sinks her little two front teeth into the soft part at the top. That's when the fun has to end.
My friend Gina signed up with me and is now a Thirty-One gifts consultant. I am so excited for her. I spent the day with her in Destin and she had a chance to do a party with her mom. We were planning on doing some swimming, but the summer rain kept us all in doors. We still had a great time. I enjoyed the ride there and back talking with my long time friend Kristina. She was a great source of fun for Mempis and Elizabeth since the rain was quite the party pooper!
