Amazing Grace, Amazing Faith

February 27 update:
You know we've been in the hospital since Sunday 2/15/2009 and I cannot wait for the doctor to say your son is released...you can take him home now. Pray for us because we are going to long to hear those words over the course of this year. Our journey away from home to cure Joshua's cancer has just started according to the doctors. I know that we serve an awesome God, He can choose to heal our Joshua if he desires.
Joshua has developed a personality that is unlike his old self. He is smart and has already devloped white coat syndrome. He will fight the nurses and us when trying to do the simplest of tasks because they have poked and prodded him so much in these last two weeks. Home is on his mind continuously. He asks to go home several times a day. The only comfort he has is in the arms of a lovedone fast asleep and when he wakes up we share the same nightmare...we are in the hospital treating him for liver cancer. I would love to be home and at rest but I know my place is with my child no matter how tired I truely am. I am not one to run away from my problems, I face them head on and go toe to toe. This cancer don't know who this baby's momma is...it's in trouble! No, better yet...it doesn't know that this baby's momma serves a LIVING GOD who still heals...Jehovah Rapha! AMEN SELAH!

Prayer for Sawyer- UPDATE

Please be in prayer for baby Sawyer. He has been vomiting and running high fever of 104 since Sunday. He was admitted today. Please pray for peace for mom and wisdom for the doctors. You all may remember he was very sick at 11 weeks, and has never fully recovered. (good weeks and bad weeks off an on since) Pray that all of his health is restored soon and that mom can finally get the right answers that will bring a resolve. Pray for dad and brother as well. The whole house has been sick with a virus, but baby Sawyer got the worse case of it. Please check back for an update. FEBRUARY 27- SAWYER IS COMING HOME TODAY. BUT STILL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS. STILL NOT EATING WELL AND HIS BODY IS STILL FIGHTING THE VIRUS. MOM NEEDS SLEEP!
And of course, we are still praying for Joshua. His chemo started yesterday and he had a really rough day. His mom is holding to hope and faith. Joshua has stage 3 liver cancer and we need the healing power of our Heavenly Father for both of these boys.

TEXT from Nadene, Joshi's mom:

God is good all the time. He has led us to the steep decent into Sheol...cause you know He's there and He can understand our every concern or test b/c He's 3 N 1 Heavenly Father, Son of man, and Holy Spirit all of God's persons have been put to the test in all things and JC got the top of his class Valedictorian or High Priest. It is so beautiful how he goes behind the veil of the Temple that was not formed by man's hands to the Mercy Seat where He offered the perfect sacrificial Lamb so he may be our advocate before the Father. We know God is walking us through this cancer battle with Joshua. God said He'll never leave us or forsake us and to not to understand why b/c He's the one that has the full picture we may only have a pixel when he looking at all the pics in our life's album. God is love.

Ugly Enemy

Well, it is Liver Cancer. Little Joshi has a huge, hard road ahead of him. But our God is no smaller and no less kinder. We pray for the power of his presence, the work of his Grace and the peace in His plan. Pray with Nadene, she is so upset. This was the one Cancer they just did not want to hear come out of the doctors mouth. He gets to go home Friday, then it will become a matter of weekly visits and chemotherapy. A round of chemotherapy ususally set aside for ADULTS. So this will be rough on his little body. Just bathe him in prayer with us. And pray for his parent's hearts not to break as they watch his unfold. Pray for moments of joy in what they are about to do, that will testify to the goodness of our God. Remember, you can follow his at http://www.carepages.com/ and just make an account. He would be found under 'visit" and joshualeefreeman51706 in the search line.

ABC Extreme Home Makeover

Elizabeth, Anna and I went to the set today and it was a lot of fun. Everyone was so friendly!
It was amazing to see how fast everyone was working. I was impressed with how much was done in the 2 hours that I was there. We saw Mike, but never saw Paige. Ty will be on site tomorrow. We hope to visit again on Thursday!

Joshua is still in very critical condition. He is keeping a temp of about 101 and is in a lot of pain. His tumor in the liver is the size of a grapfruit and another biopsi will be taken tomorrow. Our little guy is very tired and so is mom and dad. As soon as they know what type, we will post more information. Pray that the doctors can give mom and dad a lot of hope tomorrow. Please continue to pray and leave messages for Nadene. I will try to be as accurate as I can with the information and relay it well. Please put our Joshua on your prayer chain.
Message from Joshua's mom:

I thank you, Tammy, for spreading the word about our precious Joshua. He is so very important to us but just as important to God. He says that he cares for the little sparrows...I know that he will care for my little Joshi. He will bring us through this...it is hard to lean on Him instead of our own understanding of the situation...but I am praising God ahead of time for healing Joshua and believing that He can do it if we ask and if it is according to his will. I know that Paul asked 3 times for God to remove his ailment but God answered finally with my grace is sufficient...my strength is made perfect in your weakness. I pray that God will touch our Joshi's little body and heal the cancer....cure it...I claim healing in Jesus sweet and holdy name...Amen!Praying for the balm of Gilead,Nadene

Pray for Joshua

So here is our little Joshua. If you would like to send him something to bring a smile to his face, then contact me and can give you an address to bring a smile to his face. His mom is working on a care page. As soon as I have information on that, she is happy to share that site. We will have results tomorrow so we can know what kind of fight Joshua has ahead of him. Get your knees dirty friends. We are looking for a miracle and God's amazing Grace!
Update:
They have it narrowed down to two cancers. It is either "germ-cell" or "liver" cancer. From what the dr. say, germ-cell is the least aggressive of the two. They are both hanging in there. If you want to post a prayer or message to Nadean, she will get a chance to see these post. So please leave a message of encouragement to her! I will keep the information updated as it comes in. Thank you for your prayers.

Easy Cookies

Pick any flavor cake mix. Mix it with one egg, 1 1/2 sticks of soft butter and teaspoon of vanilla. It will make a soft dough. Put it in the fridge for 3 hours or overnight. Roll it out about 1/3 at a time and cut into whatever shapes you want. Cook at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Until you can touch the tops and they are not gooey inside. You will see what I mean. Let cool a few minutes on pan, and then put on cooling racks. Decorate with any icing you prefer!

Don't forget to share....

Happy Valentines Day!

Blessings in sorrow

I think you will get a blessing from this...

Also, will you go down and click on the Link to Cora's family. Read her mother's latest post, and please pray for this family. In 3 weeks they went from a happy family of three, to parents with empty arms. Cancer is a horrible thing, and we are ever thankful for our relationship with Christ, without whom, there is no hope.

my girl

I would not mind if this little girl would slow down on the whole growing thing. I am enjoying her so much, but the time is going too fast.

Baby Cora

Will you pray for this family: http://themcclenahans.blogspot.com/

Little girl whom your father loves, much more than we can know.
Little girl that your mommy misses, will the tears every stop their flow.
Little Girl, in your Father's arms, you're missed, oh, so much.
Little girl, your perfect now, but your parents long to touch.
Little girl, bend your ear, to Jesus as he prays.
"Father send your comfort down, help mommy through this day".
Little Girl, time so short, the world never knew you were here.
Little Girl, we do now, and your memories we'll hold dear.
Little Girl, safe and warm, rest in God's strong embrace.
Little girl, some day soon, mommy and daddy will again kiss your face.

Bonnie's Triumph

You searched the heart of the father,
over giving life to your son.
His birth was to be a miracle,
and you looked for the day he would come.

No ordinary arrival,
this birth would take great faith.
But all of us were praying,
that God would keep you safe.

The miracle of a baby,
the miracle of life,
The enemy was waiting
to see you birth in strife.

But warrior mom was planning,
to beat the odds and more.
You knew your heavenly father,
has so much laid up in store.

So bravely you went to battle,
for a little boy's birth-day.
And amazingly it happened,
Josiah came today!

And just like you had asked,
the Father heard you pray.
for little boy and mommy,
experienced a birth today.

Welcome baby Josiah!
