Latest Joshua Update

Just Another Manic Monday...
Posted 17 hours ago
Joshi is doing so well! He's playing like a normal 3 1/2 year old. I guess it wouldn't be to far off the beaten path for me to say that Joshua is still on cloud nine from his Disney World trip. I still haven't recovered from all the hospital stays before then, nor then the trip itself, but not forgetting the settling back in after all the mayhem we contracted upper respiratory problems. Please pray that I can gain the strength to combat this infection and to get ready for this next step in Joshua's treatment.

Tuesday Joshua had his blood tests (Joshua's tumor marker or AFP was 712--just a little higher than last time), Echocardiogram, EKG, & Wednesday was his CT Scans--by the way, this never happens this fast. Joshua's test proved that he was eligable for the Phase 2 treatment that we'd been talking at length with Dr. Gratias of T.C. Thompson Cancer Center and Dr. Geller of Cincinnati Children's Oncology Clinic. God just lined everything up for us!

Please pray hard for us this coming week because starting Monday, 1/18/2010, of Joshua's Phase 2 IMC-A12 cancer treatment. As for Tuesday, 1/19/2010, and Thursday, 1/21/2010, they are check ups and blood draws to determine his toxins and the effectiveness of the drug administered that Monday.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we appreciate the overwhelming responsiveness to God's call in your lives to help contribute in any form or fashion to Joshua's fight against cancer. Don't forget that we love you but God loves you most!

Christ...The Cure All,
Nadene

Tammy,
I am grateful to hear that Joshua has been able to be just a kid, even if there are restrictions and special measures to be taken, how wonderful to be able to enjoy and smile again. Praise God for his progress and I pray the chemo will be a huge success.
God is good, all the time, and, all the time, God is good.

In Grace,
Marie
