My Anna Banana

So first let me say, God is awesome. I trust him with my eternal life and I trust him with my children!
Anna had a routine check up today and as I was leaving, my doctor pulled me aside and asked to speak to me along...never a good feeling...
He shut the door and began to show me a chart and basically that Anna stopped growing back in August. Of course, IMMEDIATELY, the enemy started to attack me in fear. My whole body was shaking. Even the measurement of her head has gone done almost an inch. and she has almost fallen off the percentile chart.
I had a small panic moment...but then there it came- THAT PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING. I must and I will trust in my God, my Jesus. Can I do anything to change this, to affect the blood test that will begin next week? No. I cannot worry. But I can trust and pray.
We will start running test next week. Here is how WE WILL PRAY:

1. In Faith, not fear.
2. For her to start growing and all concerns of the doctors to go away.
3. For the blood test to show normal results and for this to be nothing more than an over active toddler who needs to eat more.
4. For God to be glorified and I serve Him well in this "season".

I will let you know as soon as I know anything....test begin after Thanksgiving. God is good.

Update on Joshua

Home...Home On The Range
Posted 4 hours ago
We are headed home! AMEN & Praise the LORD-Jehovah-Rapha! I'm seriously thinking of kissing the ground when we arrive on the home front!

After yesterday's scary episode with his port-a-cath, Joshua is doing just great and you wouldn't be able to tell that he's no worse for the wear! This weekend, I have to give Joshua painful GCSF/Neupogen shots; I never liked needles, much less giving shots to my only child. However, God gives me the strength to be Joshua's caretaker day in and day out.

Monday we plan to be back in clinic for Joshua's counts. Dr. Gratias says that they are going to not only test Joshua's blood counts but they will take another AFP, tumor marker, to see if it's dropped anymore. Please pray that it does!

We are gearing up for Cincinnati Children's Hospital after Thanksgiving. We will be leaving Sunday or Monday; we are expected to arrive either November 30th or December 1st. We have to receive confirmation from Dr. Geller's assistant, Polly. There are many prayer requests that I'd like to share with you about this trip. 1st Joshua is to undergo a cycle of I.C.E chemotherapy which lasts 5 days, 2nd we are to wait there for 14 days of recovery, and then finally 4 days of bone marrow stem cell extraction. Joshua's very own stem cells will be stored for a high dose cycle of I.C.E. which will later be used in his treatment cycles. Thank you all for your support, concern, but most of all for your prayers and love! Don't forget that we love you but God loves you the most.

Christ...The Cure All,
Nadene

Sisters!

Posted by PicasaHad fun playing with the girls and putting some curls in Elizabeth's hair. We went to the photo studio to have some Christmas pictures done and it was a disaster, again! Elizabeth just hates having her photos done! But Anna's turned out awesome and I can't wait to get them back. Oh the joys of 3 year olds!

Teaching her sister to walk

Posted by PicasaElizabeth is ready for her sister to walk for one reason, she wants her to play Ring Around the Rosie. So as soon as she gets her standing, she wants to drag her down for the "all fall down" part. Patience young E, your sister needs a little more time. And so does her mom....

25 days of Christmas Books

For every day in December, up until Christmas day, we will open a book from under our tree. Most of them will be the story of Christ, but there are a few fun and traditional ones as well. I made the bucket by getting a cheap plastic one and then decoupaging with all sorts of Christmas wrapping paper and making a fun storage for our books. Can't wait for December 1 to start reading our books!

Christmas at the Pulsifer's 2009

It is too hard for me to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up my tree. I would rather look at it all the way through the Holidays and enjoy the lights, colors and even our train! I know my girls love it!

First CEF Market

It's over! It was so much fun, check out my slide show at www.cefchristmasmarket.blogspot.com Now I can get back to the land of the living, get back to loving on my friends, keeping in touch with my family, spending time with my girls, getting in the Word! This was my first time as an Event Planner, and I really loved it. I learned a lot today of what I will need to do better, and expect next year's market to be even better. Thank you if you were praying for us.
I am doing a fundraiser and still collecting orders from today. If you would like to Christmas Shop with me, I am giving half of my commission to CEF. So go to www.mythirtyone.com/simplify and look for the CEF show under "shop on line", or e-mail me from there. Thanks again, and am so glad it's over, but already looking forward to making next year even better!

too many toys!

Recently our 3 year old has been displaying..well...a sin nature! Imagine that? I know what you are thinking, "No, not sweet E!" But oh yes, she is a sinner, just like her momma!
We started taking toys away and one week it was so bad that she had nothing but her shoes to play with. I literally found her playing "mommy and daddy" with her shoes! Don't feel sorry for her, she was insane that week! But then as the days went on and she slowly started getting her toys back, the more toys she earned back, the less imaginative she was being.
So I went through her room and got rid of any toys that were not necessary and she is playing so well right now.

do your kids have too many toys?

I plan on her getting very little this Christmas unless it is art or clothes or something to go with a toy she already has. We over stimulate our kids these days. My daughter has learned the art of a good sturdy box from the recycle bin is way more fun than a whole set of baby dolls! Stop and watch your kids, if they are not imagining...then maybe it's time to "clean out the room".

Still praying???

Posted by PicasaRound 10 of Chemo starts on Monday, I hope that you are still praying for little Joshua. Our 3 year old, courageous little fighter still needs a healing. He is doing well, but a long road ahead. Keep praying for our little man.
